OK, so how about if we are ALL the creator (I don't think this possibility has been explored so far in this thread).
Bear with me:
So, on a quantum level, particles only behave according to the classic laws of physics when they are being observed by a consciousness, otherwise they pop in and out of existence and exist in multiple points in space-time and behave as a field of probability/possibility. Everything solid that makes up the word and indeed the universe around us only behaves as such when we look at, record, measure or otherwise observe it. We literally bring the world around us into existence by being aware of it.
Surely this means that Human consciousness is the Creator (if such a concept is to be believed).
Ok, now because our individual realities (there is clearly one for each of as as no two people perceive reality in exactly the same way) are shaped entirely by our subconscious, which creates millions of filters through which all the information that we perceive is shaped and altered to suit our entire belief structure, this means that reality (and therefore the universe) is unique to each of us.
This gives us a whole new possibility: EVERYONE IS RIGHT!
Because our reality is shaped entirely by our perception of it, which in turn is shaped by everything that we believe to be true subconsciously then if you believe in God or multiple Gods then you are right. If you believe everything happened purely by a random sequence of events caused by an astronomical number of "throws of astronomical numbers of dice" you are also right. Equally so for any other belief that a person can have. Just as when we are a child and we have less filters (or maybe haven't been as misinformed as we are as adults?) we are able to believe (and sometimes see) that which as an adult we would believe can not be real (monsters under the bed, dragons, the tooth fairy) these things are truly real to us as children, therefore they are/were part of our reality at the time.
So perhaps the universe (multiverse now as we each have our own individual one) WAS designed, by each and every one of us to be exactly the way we believe the universe to be.
This theory is maybe not as scientific as it could be but is it any less believable than the paradox of intelligent design?
