Alternatively, you can take shortcuts, but there's nothing like knowing the more common factoring formulas, the quadratic formula, and how to perform Completing the Square.

I'm including a handy cheat sheet, courtesy of Paul Dawkins, who put out some very good PDF guides, here.

Here's the Factoring and Solving cheat sheet, merely one example of Paul's good work:

My oath of office never expires. "God, who gave us life, gave us liberty. Can the liberties of a nation be secure when we have removed a conviction that these liberties are the gift of God?" - Thomas Jefferson. "I have far too long suffered fools. No longer will I tolerate the insufferable. Enjoy the vacuum." - Mugs

PS: I scrambled my password, so no, I will not be responding. Get a clue.

That is a lie. The Greeks were solving quadratic equations geometrically, long before Al'Kwarizmi.
The more I publish the truth, the more society hates me.

Download the applet and find out how stupid you've been. This link might help you.

O Grape, if only you would realise that compared to me, you are an absolute moron. Perhaps then, I might reveal much more to you. Chuckle.

Thank you very much, I will try.
Sometimes, the logical answer defies logic....Stupid accident.

If my thoughts are math, how can I be wrong?

Grapes, I have not forgotten about Algebra. I honestly have not had the time. It is a want not a need. Hopefully, I will have the chance. I have been thinking about Algebra, but in a different way, I want to learn what you tried to teach.

What makes me sad is the talk to be rid of Algebra. I did solve the problem, but not mathematically, I could not see how. I did not know Algebra could do that for me, now I do. I believe it is important.

Now that I have taken a look at it, I will need time, as much as I can get.

And Paul Dawkins, great website, thank you very much to the both of you.
