Default Yet another source from science that indicates BAUT is brain-dead

In a number of BAUT posts, I mentioned "variation within the species" as the necessary precursor to natural selection, with only the fittest surviving, only to have BAUT members, including several mods and a few self-proclaimed scientists, descend on me like I was nuts.

Today, we have this quote: "But other paleoanthropologists believe the bone’s distinctive features come from variations within the species, rather than a distinct species." - Chris Stringer, head of research into human origins at the Natural History Museum in London

Title: Bone discovery suggests a mysterious ancient species of human lived alongside our ancestors

I've never been nuts. In fact, I've worked jobs that required 25+ year background checks costing as much as my considerable annual salary. If there was even a hint of "nuts," I'd never have been accepted into, much less be allowed to continue, in my career.

BAUT, on the other hand, was the most flagrantly anti-scientific collection of scientist-wannabe nuts on the Internet.
My oath of office never expires. "God, who gave us life, gave us liberty. Can the liberties of a nation be secure when we have removed a conviction that these liberties are the gift of God?" - Thomas Jefferson. "I have far too long suffered fools. No longer will I tolerate the insufferable. Enjoy the vacuum." - Mugs

PS: I scrambled my password, so no, I will not be responding. Get a clue.

Well, you've just offered evidence for a *current* condition.
