Default Vote me in for mod, ADMINISTRATOR

You all know what I stand for. INTEGRITY, PRINCIPLE. I admit, I'm ignorant. I don't know everything about everything. But I know a trickster is a trickster. I know when someone is evasive. I know how to program a forum bulletin board and can generally tell when someone is a sock puppet and not suspend someone when he is not. I WILL figure out a way to add a tag to unreliable posters.

Since a logical assuption is that some will create socks to skew the vote results, POST why you don't want INTEGRITY AND PRINCIPLE to govern this forum.

By the way, this is just an experiment. There's more than one way to skin a cat.

    PS

I'm a lawer, my family are lawers, I got more lawers than O.J. Simpson. BASMO is going down and some are going to prison. I've already got half a dozen cops in prison for 60 years (and that ain't easy, believe me). Don't underestimate me.

Well, that (from your record here) seems typical. You try to force the result the way you want, by setting up a false dilemma.

You set yourself up as having "INTEGRITY AND PRINCIPLE", thus a vote against you is apparently a vote against "INTEGRITY AND PRINCIPLE"!

But - I don't believe you actually have "INTEGRITY AND PRINCIPLE". I think those are just words you use because you like the sound of them, and you like to think they apply to you. Similar to a crank (see the latest in the 0.999... = 1 thread) who starts off a claim with "I am very very smart" and then thinks that adds weight to their claim. The sort of person who writes "I've never met someone smarter than me, so I'm right when I say Atoms are made of semi-quavers". You like to claim "INTEGRITY AND PRINCIPLE" at the outset, and then that's supposed to add weight to whatever you are saying.

Nope. I wouldn't want to see you as a mod here. So my vote is no. As much as you claim "INTEGRITY AND PRINCIPLE", I don't think you have those qualities. (Whatever "PRINCIPLE" is supposed to mean, like that).

(For that matter, I don't think mugaliens is an ideal mod, either. But, for all the imbalance in his personal views, he mostly does the moderation thing well enough.)

So you don't want him to be an "ADMISISTRATOR"? (Oddly, the thread was originally about becoming a moderator, now his poll is about becoming an administrator.)

You know, I don't even believe him when he says he's a lawyer. The spelling errors are just part of it. The other is that his arguments are all based on bluster. His posts try hard to sound "complex" but there's usually little substance in them. So I suspect he thinks he sounds "lawyery", so likes to claim being one. Perhaps thinking it adds weight to his posts.

Did once meet someone who couldn't spell her own job title. She was a palaeichthyologist though.

    Lawyers! OMG! YIKES!

Lol, Astrotech, no worries there. I took a year of business law in college, and learned a bunch more during my divorce. Caught my ex's attorney in perjury not once, but three times! Embarrassing for him - almost got him disbarred. I did get another lying lawyer disbarred, but that was back in 1999.

Tell the truth! Funny, but that's part of what got me banned from BAUT. It's a shame when a "science" forum can't handle the truth. They make up their excuses.

    We're still here.

No movement in more than two months, and this experiment didn't pan out so well for its originator, so thread closed.
