    Default New Conservation Law

In the 2009 televised review session for the New York State Regents
Physics Exam, the instructor (a Mr. Kaschalk at Haverling High School,
Bath, NY) explained to the students about the "Law of Conservation of
Velocity". Of course, he was over-simplifying the Conservation of
Momentum for collisions of equal mass (a condition he did NOT
emphasize), but I think doing so was idiotic.

What will students remember when studying collisions next year at
college? Naturally, they'll remember the easier sounding
"Conservation of Velocity" and forget that of Momentum.

You can see the current review at http://www.regentsreviewlive.net/rrl...s/physics.html.

    Default Re: New Conservation Law

My new conservation law is Conservation of Luck (or Karma), however I can't determine if its a universal law or an individual law.

if its a universal law it would be manifest in Lucky people and unlucky people with the balance being held constant for the whole universe. for every lucky person birn there is a Schleprock born at the same time.

If its individual based it would be manifest for each individual, i.e. their total 'Luck' would end neutral at the end of their life. AKA 'Life's ups and downs'

I'm only half serious about this ;-) but I saw the thread and had to comment.
