    Default Jacob Barnett

Jacob Barnett - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Has anyone heard of him? Can anyone discuss what his new theory is about? From what I have heard I agree with some of the points he has made but would like to learn more about the parts of relativity that he disagrees with.

Thanks for bringing this young man to our attention. I haven't done much more than glance at a web page about him. By all accounts, he has asked some intriguing questions about the Big Bang. His most notable question appears to be about the origins of Carbon. However, I was not aware that their was an issue with Carbon or that the Big Bang as a theory hinged on its origins. It is my understanding that the heavier elements were created in the stars long after the Big Bang. That's what Carl Sagan meant when he said that we are all star stuff.

I think that is what he is saying that there wouldnt have been enough time to create all of that carbon unless the universe was 20 billion years old. But I cant find any more details.

I think he was on the Glenn Beck show near the end of March or beginning of April. If I remember rightly, he's only 10 or 12 years old but I haven't had the time to look him up...keep us posted if you find anything further.
