Thread: I'm mangels

My parents gave me one of those child's intro to astronomy books when I was 7 yrs old. I read it an everything clicked. It was the coolest thing EVER!! That was over 40 years ago, and I have been studying astronomy ever since. I have also delved deeply in to physics and maths.

I went to college to double major in astronomy and physics, because I was gonna be the greatest astrophysist ever, but I wound up being a professional computer nerd. I was bitter about it at first, but then I realized that if you had told me as a kid that I would get to spend all day long working on a computer when I grew up, I would have thought that was pretty cool.

I spent a few years as a member of the AAVSO and contributed to their data base, so I got to be an astronomer for a while.

Really looking forward to getting to know y'all and gettin my inner nerd on.
