Hi there...! My name is Elizabeth, and I've always been fascinated by cosmology and theoretical physics. I currently work in the medical device industry and my degree and current job are in technical writing, but my associate's degree was in astronomy, and I also T.A.'d for observational astronomy courses at my community college for a few years. For a couple of years after that I majored in physics with a concentration in astrophysics at UCSC. I absolutely loved my courses in physical cosmology, stellar astronomy, vector calculus, and nuclear and theoretical physics (not to mention a great "life in the universe" course with Frank Drake!), and only regret that I wasn't at a focused enough time in my life back then to actually complete my degree in the subject.
I came across this forum by accident, but am excited that I did. Most of my scientific knowledge these days comes from magazines and television documentaries, so I look forward to getting more in touch with what's really going on in the fields of theoretical physics, astronomy and cosmology via the discussions here. I'll probably be primarily an observer for now, but may (hopefully!) get more involved in the future.![]()
