Just joined. I have a background as an astrophysicist (Ph.D. Harvard, Astronomy, thesis on the cosmological evolution of X-ray emission from clusters of galaxies) but worked most of my career in high performance computing / supercomputing. Now that I'm semi-retired as an author, investor and consultant, I'm spending more time reconnecting with the state of the field in cosmology and astrophysics. During the past year I published an e-book entitled Dark Matter, Dark Energy, Dark Gravity, in part to bring myself up to date, and especially with an eye to helping to make these key advances of the last 13 or so years more accessible to lay readers.
