Thread: Hello fellow geeks.

I consider myself an amateur physicist. I've been studying physics, primarily cosmology and quantum mechanics, since the 8th grade. Ever since my first introduction into Relativity, in 1978, I've been hooked ever since. I'm a big Sci Fi fan of course and today I am a Systems Administrator for a major US airline.

I too am an amateur astronomer and have studied cosmology and natural sciences since intermediate (mid-80's) school. Favorite authors: Stephen Hawking, Carl Sagan, and Robert Jastrow. I am currently a physical therapist and I love to teach about the human body, astronomy/cosmology, natural sciences, and geography.

Hey Chuck, you discovered relativity the year I was born. Ever since I was a little kid, I have always looked up at the stars and asked, why? So after some time in the military and just dealing with life, I am back in school to get my degree in Physics. I am fascinated by the universe that we live in. I hope to focus in quantum mechanics and I do my own research into quantum entanglement and black holes. I too am a huge sci-fi guy, mainly Star Trek and Stargate. I guess I am mixture of geek and jock as I am a huge sports nut. I am always asking questions and trying to find the answers which lead to more questions!

I, too, was born in 1978. I was in the U.S. Army, as well.
