What is your favorite albert einstein quote?
This is a tough one because I have many. Albert Einstein is my hero. I would probably have to say that my all-time favorite one would be this one: "Nothing is more destructive of respect for the government and the law of the land than passing laws which cannot be enforced." It explains why I feel the way I do about our government and the cops! Meaning I hate them!
I could break it down into categories such as;
Stupid People: "Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are even incapable of forming such opinions." (It explains so much about most of our people, like why cannabis is illegal). But in this same category, I must add this one: "Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds." I just love that one!
War: "It is my conviction that killing under the cloak of war is nothing but an act of murder." Also, "Heroism on command, senseless violence, and all the loathsome nonsense that goes by the name of patriotism - how passionately I hate them!"
Religion: "I do not believe in the God of theology who rewards good and punishes evil."
Education: "It is a miracle that curiosity survives formal education." Also, "Intellectual growth should commence at birth and cease only at death."
Not sure what category to put this one into, but I have to put it here somewhere so here it is: "Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."
One more: "Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one."
Also, here's a couple of my favorite pix:
I love the hair!
I would give anything to be able to go back in time and smoke a bowl with Al.![]()
