Re: Very Sad - Texas Rangers fan dies trying to catch ball I'm reminded of watching a video of some kids I knew (my ex and I babysat them a couple of times) the moment they learned their father had died. Gut-wrenching. As a father myself, I can't imagine what it's like for a son to lose his father in a tragedy first-hand.
As for those whose curiosities fall along more fanciful lines, I suggest it's because they have more money than they know what to do with while not having had enough science and engineering to know what they're dealing with.
