This is a stretch but on the way into work today I had a few thoughts about a link between relativity and quantum probility.
Here was the logic :
Out in space there is zero point energy which is the lowest energy state that can be achieved in the universe.
The reason there is energy at all is based on the HUP.
Around mass the HUP is also in effect but the probability of mass in a certain volume over a slice of time is greater the more mass / energy that is in that area.
Time appears to slow near this mass and space appears to contract.
For the oberservers near the mass distant objects in open space seem to be sped up and their space expanded.
Here is the stretch. As an observer approaches mass does time slow and distance shrink to keep the zero local enrgy level constant or to stretch it towards the lower energy frame.
