My initial answer would be no, you cant use up wind evergy. Because way back in 3rd or 4th grade I learned wind is caused by the sun.......and thats all I know.
So, upon further thought I would have to say I dont know" because I have no clue how wind is created.
But still, my gut reaction is no. If you have a HUGE field of windmills, I would think there MAY be a local wind disturbance. But to "use up" or effect the wind in a large way?
    My hypothesis is no.

Awesome post Tom, I have had that thought before wondering about sustainable non-intervention sources of energy.

It has to effect the planet somehow. There's the old proverb about the butterfly who flaps its wings and causs change on the opposit sideof the planet right? So if humans erect 50,000 wind turbines obviously we're converting a certain about of kinetic energy that, (for lack of a better term)- was intended to go elsewhere. There's a never ending supply of it naturally considering the source is the sun, but I do wonder the ramifications since all action has a reaction.

Same thing with solar energy. Whats the amount of sunlight we can capture for energy purposes without impacting the earths ability to absorb heat? The panels have to go somewhere and will essentially block the suns rays from reaching the ground.

My thought process has it that molecular energy is the least harming source of energy. We should mine tritium off the moon or something. I hear theres an ample supply there.
