On May 25th, 2007, Fraser Cain wrote an article “Astronauts Will Get Some Warning When the Space Storm’s Coming.” Is the really anything astronauts could due in event of a flood of radiation that they aren’t already doing? Let’s face radiation is a big problem so I would imagine that a space ship had as much protection up as it could muster all the time. I believe you could produce some kind of magnetic shielding like the Earth has which might protect from intense radiation, but that would be on an automatic system: radiation increase causes power to the shields. Why would astronauts need advanced warning?
