Finally got a bit of clear sky tonight. It is plagued of course, by that whopping great beacon in the sky, the moon, but never mind I thought I would make the most of it anyway.Tonight I thought I would remove the telescope from the mount and just pop the Canon 400D on by itself so I could track the stars for a few minutes inside the dome.First one Milky Way Galaxy widefield 18mm F3.5 ISO 800 3 minutes Second one Antares Rho Ophiuchus region 55mm F5.6 ISO 800 6 x 3 minutes stacked - total 18 minutesThis is the first time I have attempted to photograph a dark nebula. (Rho O)The big fella upstairs has made some pretty awesome things up there I reckon. I'd love to go there one day and see it all for myself!Hope you like em!Baz.Image: http://i27.tinypic.com/25in9q8.jpg Image: http://i32.tinypic.com/2dhwun4.jpg
