Some of us have no willpower. Well, I'm not sure about "us" but I certainly don't!I need to spend a lot of time on my Open University work, and sometimes I fall behind because something really interesting comes up on BAUT, and I spend hours contributing to the discussion, however much I tell myself that I'm limiting myself.So I had this idea of voluntary suspension, whereby a BAUTer can request that they be barred from BAUT for a week, a month or whatever while they get on with their work.During this period, their status would be something like "On vacation", "Voluntary suspension" or (my favourite) "Cloistered".This could also be useful for people who know they have temper issues, and perhaps realise they will say something bannable if a certain newcomer continues in a certain vein.
