Thread: What is "the truth" about who invented the telescope?

I'd like to find my own resource online but everytime I do i get different answers. (something tells me this question is deeper than it even seems due to the different types of telescopes out there).

There was an artcle in a recent issue of Sky and Telescope about that ... If only I'd read it. I'll read it tonight.
