Default Question: the Hydrogen cycle

If the early Universe was almost 100% Hydrogen, and stars are in effect machines which translate this element into other, heavier elements; is there any reverse mechanism which acts to make the matter homgenous in the form of Hydrogen again? I mean some structure which "manfufactures" Hydrogen from other elements (not sure what a Black Hole does for example!)
