Default question re: coronal mass ejections

While the implications for a technology-prone planet like Earth are clear, what are the effects of CMEs on the gas giants or the asteroid belt?

Default Re: question re: coronal mass ejections

A record powerful CME would increase the cloud top ionization temporarily for a gas giant planet = no long term effects that we know of.
Asteroids will increase mass, and orbital radius about one part per trillion = almost none due to a record powerful CME hit
