    Default New NASA Craft, With Infrared Power, Will Map the Unseen Sky

    NASA is scheduled on Friday to launch the Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer, which will photograph the entire sky every six months.

    This just shows you how far imaging has come since 1983. In 1989 I was working on a $500,000 scanner the size of a washing machine and the $100 desktop scanner today has more pixels per inch that that old scanner did. The near Earth objects WISE will be able to detect may surprise a lot of people.
