    Default Graphene

What is the most probable future use for Graphene?

My guess would be military; protective gear for soldiers.

There are so many uses that I think could be possible, I wouldn't be able to list them all, but my favourite idea is for a space elevator: a thin band of graphene or carbon nanotubes that stretches 62,000 miles into space. A space station would be positioned at geosynchronious orbit and a climber would transport people and goods up to the station. It sounds like something out of a sci-fi movie, but NASA is getting very interested in them!

    Sensors and super conductors.

Graphene does a better job of transferring electrons without losing energy to heat. If the energy in a device is used more efficiently, that means the battery can be smaller and still perform as well. Think of iPod batteries holding a charge that lasts a few weeks rather than a few hours.

We WILL start seeing graphene in CPUs in the near future, you will see that it will start to replace silicon.
