So every nuclei is composed of protons- now it was told to me that each proton and neutron are made up of quarks (3 each) with varying spins.
(I'm going to be very plain and speak from the heart here)
Are they solid objects? If they are - what solid matter is there on that level? Does it coalesce into quarks or is that the smallest of the small?
What is it if its not solid matter? When does the macroscopic "solid appearance' of things begin to break down?
Also, I'm not sold on electrons...there is so much more there. We haven't scratched the surface of that phenomenon.
