Thread: Does Consciousnesses affect anything?

Obviously im not saying its not Important, but all i hear is, "Consciousnesses can bend Space time" and " Pot opens all doors of reality and Consciousnesses"
Aside from drugs it does ask the Question, Does Consciousnesses affect anything in a Humans influence?
Also, im not talking about anything significant, but like with a Humans Electromagnetic Field...
Its gotten me Curious.

I always thought about conciousness as being a way that we perceive 3 spacial dimensions and 1 time dimension ...

Also the flow of time in my opinion could be a conciousness issue ...

Sometimes the Math isn't the important part...

Pot doesnt do that. COnsciousness isn't accumulative. I.E. doing ANYthing doesnt make one MORE conscious. It can function to bring about a greater self-awareness, a mild pain reliever for gastric problems, and definitely assist in passing the time.

I had an english teacher I thought we described it well, "Weed just makes it feel ok that you're doing nothing." Well, some people (cough cough) don't like it when they have nothing productive to do. But no, weed doesn't open any alternative doors or reality. That's crazy. That would imply theres more than one reality also, which would make none of them reality.

I didn't say that it was true, but almost every person my Age that I know thinks that.

Consciousness affects everything. It is the way in which we define our world. Perception is the key to understanding anything. I believe that the universe and consciousness are one in the same. Einstein related matter to energy and space to time. Unification lies in the concept that what "is" is intrinsically tied to perceiving it. I think that the descrepancies we are seeing at the quantum level of things are a result of a lack of understanding, on the part of science, about how exactly consciousness works. It's like having a super bad-ass telescope that you can not only see the universe, but interact with the matter in it as well. So, we look through this telescope and categorize everything except the telescope itself. We can't continue to classify the things we observe and discover without knowing anything about how our "telescope" of consciousness works. If I choose to interact with the world via my consciousness, than the matter in not only my immediate space will be affected, but all matter in the universe will be affected. What I learned studying physics in college was that distance and time, (the fundamental basics of physics which are used to determine velocity), are arbitrary matters in relation to the observer (or entity containing consciousness). In other words, the star that you see in the night sky is both: thousands of lightyears away, and in your head, or your conscious perception of its being. Consciousness can be used as a very powerful tool for shaping many things that affect our world: changing the outcome of events, manifesting ideas into existence, creating art, etc. I think that for too long has science concerned itself with taking the human element out of the picture to produce "unbiased" experimental data. Yet, all experimental data has been generated and interpreted by a human being via our technology, or tools which are simply extensions of our consciousness.

I am truly sorry 'Atch'... I find no truth whatsoever in your statements...

Consciousness being a construct of humanity by humanity and for humanity..

That you might become all wise and knowing and think that any reality could be effected by humanities minds.. is utter rubbish.

I want for a better understanding of these words Consciousness, Sentient, Reality.

I await your opinion of these things..
